InfoQ: dotnet news articles for April - 2026, by me.

Hi there 👋

As you know or don't know. I write for InfoQ, and I write a couple of news coverage articles per month.

I am part of the .NET Content editors' team, and each month, we write and cover new and exciting stuff in the #dotnet development world.

Last month, in April 2026, I wrote a couple of news articles. Maybe if you missed those topics or want to read more about the news from the .NET world, the URLs and short descriptions of the news items can be found in the list below:

Microsoft Releases .NET 11 Preview 3 with Updates Across Runtime, SDK, MAUI, and ASP.NET Core

Microsoft has released .NET 11 Preview 3, the third preview of its upcoming Standard Term Support version due in November 2026. The update spans the runtime, SDK, libraries, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and .NET MAUI, with Runtime Async leaving the preview-feature gate, new JIT optimizations, Zstandard compression in ASP.NET Core, and expanded MAUI Map controls.

.NET Aspire 13.2 Released with Expanded CLI, TypeScript AppHost Preview, and Dashboard Improvements

Aspire 13.2 brings expanded CLI with detached mode and process management, TypeScript AppHost support in preview, dashboard telemetry export and import, stable Docker Compose publishing, Microsoft Foundry integration, Azure Virtual Network support, and a major VS Code extension update. The release also includes several breaking changes to configuration files and resource commands.

This is a slightly different type of blog post from me. I hope you will find it useful, and I hope you will be updated with the latest .NET news (in case you missed it throughout the month).

As always, I wish you all the best and wish you lots of luck with coding!
Best regards! 👋
